Gary Kreps Managing Partner, Chief Investment Officer

Gary Kreps founded Marathon Capital Management in 1997 as an emerging markets specialist firm. He is the portfolio manager of the Marathon Emerging Markets Fund, which invests primarily in the equity markets of 30 countries.  From 1992-96, Gary was Chief Investment Officer for Global Fixed Income at LGT Asset Management (now AIM Invesco) and was responsible for worldwide with over $ 3 billion under management. At LGT, he pioneered the introduction of globally diversified emerging market debt as a high yield component of a global fixed income portfolio. From 1988 to 1992, Gary was Senior VP and Senior International Fixed Income Portfolio Manager for the Putnam Companies where he invested approximately $ 3 billion of international /global fixed income funds. From1985 to 1988 Gary was Chief Investment Officer at the World Bank/International Finance corporation, where he participated in the risk management of the Bank's multi-currency treasury portfolio. Additionally, she is responsible for the preparation of marketing documents and presentations. Sylvia received a BSc. from Mc Gill University, a Diploma in Management Studies from Mc Gill University and a Masters in Hospital Administration from Universite de Montreal.
